‘Deadly Emotions’ a book by Dr. Don Colbert

A brief summary that informs us that the mind and body are extremely connected

Coming from the basic premise, “what we feel emotionally often becomes HOW we feel physically.”  The author points out the importance of achieving inner peace, and living in it as a parameter to achieve a better quality of life.  While not all diseases derive from emotional origin, it is necessary to know of their consequences.

It is difficult to accept the mind-body connection since it can be unpleasant to go to a consultation and hear that unhealthiness lies within deep and personal decisions andnot in a viral infection or some external bacteria.  Therefore, good mental health and consciousness can resultin a longer and fuller life.

Reality says that there is an increasing relationship between modern diseases and the “epidemic of fatal emotions in our culture.” Despite advances in research, heart disease, headaches, and skin disorders continue to claim more and more victims. What is the reason for this?

A brief summary that informs us that the mind and body are extremely connected.  Emotions can affect the immune system, which can lead to depression and from there, to cancer or a heart attack.
